Creatures

In a hole in the earth dug far beneath
Hidden, within a cave
Beneath oceans of blue and lands of heath
A graveyard of creatures
Creatures of demise
Unwoken since long before

For too long ago
There was a time
When a creature as such would roar
But in this hole
Under the heath
Under the oceans of blue

In the center of the earth
Creatures of rouse came to
An eye than the other
A body of fatigue
Filled with vengeance
Rose from beneath the stone placed on its name
Now fallen and cracked far below
The creatures now woken
looked up to their game
And called to their kin in new eyes of flame

In the dark
They came from beneath
The earth deep down below

Out of their hole
And onto the land
Of oceans of blue and lands of heath

Creatures of reprisal
Pounded, devoured
Slaughtered, destroyed
Old creatures of power
Every remain of their reign
Except for their fall a victory call

For new creatures of feat
Who defeated their game
Of those now dead who took their name
Long long ago in an old time of change
Ailing creatures now down
Far below
In the center of the earth
Their power bestowed

New creatures of power rose to their name
Under a full new moon

They ruled the earth
Out in the light
The lands of heath and oceans of blue
Held firmly in their claws of dirt and gore

The creatures of old were long gone and no more
Once again creatures of power could roar
For this is what creatures
Will do for their name
For hope their resolve and pride
Born again
